What fascinates me most, is human behavior.  The way we exist in self-created realities, move out of passion rather than reason and veer between the light and the shadows.  All the while hoping that life is part of an evolution that will result in some kind of justification or absolution.

That is why I like creating and telling tales about us.  Thrilling ones.  Slightly off-kilter, somewhat horrific ones that are disturbingly conceivable and uncomfortably relatable. (Gently fringed with optimism, even humor.)

Often, my tales are inspired by actual experiences and characters from the dozen-or-so lives I've lived.  It means that they may come from other places and different times, but their demons, those heavy uncertainties they drag behind themselves are universal.  They are personal.  Almost too relatable.
